Premium Worm Castings (5 Gallons)
Product Details

Give your plants the best with our premium worm castings, locally produced at Minnesota Worm Farm. Carefully crafted for maximum quality, our castings are harvested from worms fed a selective diet to ensure optimal nutrition. We minimize the time between harvest and delivery to maintain peak freshness.

Why Worm Castings?

  • Faster Germination – Cut germination time in half, so your plants sprout sooner.
  • Stronger Growth – Promote stronger root development, increased plant growth, and higher yields.
  • Better Produce – Grow larger, more vibrant fruits and vegetables with enhanced flavor.
  • Soil Health – Packed with beneficial microbes that improve soil health and nutrient absorption.
  • Odor-Free – Enjoy all the benefits of rich organic matter without any unpleasant smells.
  • Improved Aeration & Water Retention – Enhance your soil’s ability to retain moisture and improve airflow around roots, promoting healthier plants.

How to Use:

  • New Garden Beds: For new garden beds, use about 1 gallon of worm castings per 16 square feet. Mix worm castings into the top 2-3 inches of soil. This will improve soil structure, increase nutrient content, and enhance water retention and aeration. Worm castings provide a solid foundation for healthy plant growth from the start. For optimal results, consider mixing in additional organic matter such as compost or mulch.
  • Vegetables & Annual Flowers: Line the bottom of planting holes and seed furrows with 1–2 inches of worm castings. Set seeds or plants in place and cover with soil. Side-dress with 1/2 cup per plant or 1 cup per linear foot every 2 months during the growing season.
  • Perennials: Work 1/2 cup into the soil above the root zone in early spring, early summer, and early fall, being careful not to damage shallow roots.
  • Potted Plants & Seeds: Mix 1 part worm castings to 2 parts soil for a nutrient-rich potting mix.
  • Lawns: For new lawns, use 2 gallons per 100 sq. ft., working 1–2 inches into the topsoil and mixing with grass seed. For established lawns, distribute as a top-dressing at a rate of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft..
  • Roses, Trees, Shrubs, & Berries: For new plantings, mix 1 part worm castings to 2 parts soil. For established plants, add 4 cups of worm castings 2–3 inches below the surface around each plant.

Liquid Castings (Castings Tea): Soak 1 part worm castings in 2 parts water for 1 week. Use this liquid as a powerful foliar feed for flowering, fruiting plants, or difficult-to-reach potted plants.

Additional Information: Our 100% worm castings are not composted, mixed, or diluted in any way—giving you over 50% more castings by volume compared to other brands. The dry formulation won’t "burn" your plants, even delicate seedlings, and works great for all plant types—vegetables, flowers, perennials, shrubs, and lawns. Each 5-gallon box weighs approximately 20 pounds, and smaller 1-gallon options are available for smaller spaces.

Give your garden a natural boost with our premium worm castings—your plants will thank you!
